This Friday night the
Girls and Boys Basketball teams of Lake Washington
High School will be working together to raise funds
for Partners in Health. (www.pih.org).
For those that don't about PIH it's an amazing
organization that provides medical care to poor
countries. They have been working in Haiti for over
20 years and currently they have 100 doctors, 600
nurses, and 4,000 employees in Haiti with the relief
efforts in 10 existing PIH hospitals.
Hoops for
Haiti kicks off with the Girls Varsity basketball
game at 6:30 on Friday night followed by the Boys
Varsity game at 8:00. We'll be selling Hoops for
Haiti T-shirts and the student athletes will be
speaking at half time of each game encouraging
community members to donate. If you are unable to
attend the game but would like to donate please make
out checks to Partners in Health and mail them to:
